Web Software Developer (Cypress, CA)

AAGL, the leading non-profit medical association dedicated to the advancement of minimally invasive gynecology, is seeking a part-time Software Developer to work with our Information Technology team to build several exciting web-based products. The target candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the following disciplines:
? Developing PHP applications with a MySQL database backend in a LAMP environment
? Writing client-side scripts in Javascript that implement the jQuery framework and make extensive use of AJAX calls
? Building and deploying Wordpress plugins and widgets
? Pre-emptively identifying and closing security holes in your software, such as SQL Injections, cross-site scripting attack vectors, etc.
? Translating web site designs provided by our marketing and communications team from InDesign, PDF, Photoshop, etc into straight HTML
? Creating custom reports for other departments within our organization
? Integrating your code with the Authorize.net payment gateway
? Knowledge of the following platforms a plus: Salesforce, ExactTarget, Twilio, Tokbox, Wordpress, SurveyGizmo.
This is a part-time, temporary position with room to grow into something larger over time if you are the right candidate. We’re willing to consider both local candidates in the Los Angeles/OC area as well as telecommuters who are able to demonstrate an ability to work productively from a remote location.
NOTE: We are a medical association that deals extensively with materials and videos related to surgery. We strongly encourage only prospective applicants who are comfortable with images and video depictions of surgery to apply.
