Experienced Web Graphic Designer - Freelance (SOMA / south beach)

FYI Living ( http://fyiliving.com ) is a funded start-up led by successful entrepreneurs. We publish original articles on breaking health and wellness news. Our news stories cover the latest clinical studies and academic research and their impact on our readers everyday life. We work with leading experts in fields like nutrition, psychology and sleep to give our readers advice they can trust.
We are seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer to help tweak the design of our Word Press site to achieve the following:
1. Increase registrations to our newsletters
2. Increase time spent on site by having users read more articles.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in designing for ROI (e.g. A/B testing, direct marketing, etc.)
- Experience with web publishing (e.g.. layout of article and category pages, floating overlays, ad placements, user engagement, etc.)
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately design, manage and complete planned project agenda/goals with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to come up with multiple creative solutions and be open to other suggestions
- Work remotely with occasional face to face meetings
- Understand goals of client and use your creativity and experience to deliver
We have web developers that can implement your work so programming skills are a nice to have but not a requirement
