Ruby on Rails Programmer / Developer / Ninja (Kingston, NY)

Our small Kingston, NY & New York City based interactive design & production firm is looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer for a medium term contract starting immediately. The project will likely lead to more work or possibly a full time position if desired. The current project schedule completes in the fourth quarter of 2010. The work will be full time and will be paid via a monthly retainer for a full time commitment of development time to the project.
We need a developer who can come to Kingston, NY and NYC on a semi-regular basis but you can telecommute most of the time otherwise. That said we are only interested in real passionate developers who are also true team players. No lone wolves please….unless you play well with others

Ideally the right candidate will also have experience with:
-HTML/CSS (W3C Compliance)
-JavaScript Frontend Development (JQuery, Mootools, etc)
-UNIX/Linux
-MySQL, Apache, XML, AJAX
-RESTful development with Rails
-API integrations (YouTube, Twitter, Google Maps, etc.)
More importantly candidate should have a good attitude, strong & demonstrable RoR experience, and enjoy working in a fast paced creative development environment.
