Sr. Web Designer (Dufferin/King)

We are a web design/development and marketing company located in North Liberty, Toronto (Dufferin/King). We currently service a diverse market with our clients and are looking to maintain existing requirements as well as expanding into new market segments.
We are looking for a creative Sr. Web Designer to work with us o several projects. The candidate would be working off-site (from home or any other location) and occasionally come to the studio for project updates or a meeting.
The web designer will be working on all size websites our clients and ideally be very comfortable turning a Photoshop design into a fluid HTML/CSS design. The designer may also be involved in the initial project discussion to come up with a great concept for the client.
The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
SKILLS:
- be a creative person
- be able to create web layouts given some simple direction
- be extremely comfortable creating attractive UIs from a Photoshop mockup design
- be able and very comfortable slicing a Photoshop layout and create a HTML/CSS functional website
- being comfortable with JavaScript / AJAX a bonus (specially using CSS/Ajax navigation techniques)
- some knowledge of PHP a bonus, but not a must
* Having some CSS designs to show is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be depending on project size. For a small project, an hourly rate may be applicable or a cost per project will be discussed with the designer. Hourly rate will start at $30/hour.
The selected designer will be able to start on a project immediately.
