Digital Designer (UI/UX) needed for ecommerce startup (San Francisco)
City: Sfbay
POSITION: Digital UI/UX Designer
TYPE: Contract at 10-20 hours a week to start with potential to become full time.
PAY: competitive hourly based on past experience
LOCATION: Working from home is ok with 1-2 times a week in the city of SF.
WHO WE ARE:
We are a start-up focused on changing commerce. We have been written up in TechCrunch and the New York Times multiple times. We believe in different models of ownership and are working hard to change how people buy and sell both online AND offline. We are looking for a driven, confident digital designer to help us develop the next generation of commerce solutions. This position will be responsible for re-working existing assets as well as developing upcoming products. We?re small, agile, and energetic and are looking for someone with energy and a passion for what they do.
SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
? Digital design and proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator
? Print design experience a plus
? Iconography
? Web layout and UI/UX design
? Ability to assimilate process and simplify the consumer experience
REQUIREMENTS AND MORE INFO:
? Extensive portfolio of past work with relevant examples of excellent UI/UX design
? An understanding of modern web technologies and a desire to stay current, and experiment
? Ability to iterate frequently and maintain a high level of work with an attention to detail
? Passion for your work and a drive to maintain the utmost quality of design throughout everything you produce
? Comfortable giving and receiving constructive criticism ? we think design is a process, not a task
? Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to convey the how, and the why of what you do.
