Strong Web Developer Needed for Start-Up (Boston)

OVERVIEW:

The Developer must be comfortable working in a fast paced ? sometimes high pressure ? changing environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that does not require ?on-the-job? training. You will be expected to think strategically in your approach to development and not create a one-dimensional solution in your designs. Communication will be an important aspect of your success, as you will be working directly with the founder of the company in delivering it’s vision.

Qualities we are looking for:
-Entrepreneurial drive: desire to be a part of the growth of a technologically-focused marketing company
-Strong technical background with a curiosity and genuine interest in web technology
-Expert coding skills in ASP, PHP. Candidate must a strong understanding of AJAX, Javascript and CSS.
-Working web development background and a knowledge of the website/web application development process and industry best practices
-Detailed attention to user interaction factors and quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong technical and coding skills are essential for this job. You should have experience with web design, best practices and have a genuine interest in start-ups. Knowledge of online marketing and how the web can be used to drive business is also key, as this ties in with the over-arching solution. Demonstration of communication and time management capabilities are important for success in this position.
We will also be looking for the following abilities and qualifications:
-Communicating with clients to understand their needs and mapping business requirements to technical specifications
-Plan and execute on strategy, ensure understanding of the long term company direction
-Write software in ASP, PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. (.Net, a plus)
-Knowledge of the real estate industry is a plus.
-Candidate must have knowledge of relational databases, primarily SQL Server and MySQL
