jQuery mini fix needed (Richmond)

o this is 10 minutes of work for someone experienced with jQuery
o I am using jQuery with jqGrid but that should not effect this issue
o problem: cannot get jQuery to read selected values from a html drop down menu on a “onSelectChange” event
To experience the frustration for yourself try this:
o www.financialappliance.com/returns.php
o note: this site is being rebuilt, the branding on the site “StockGlo” does not match the url (no worries…)
o in the menu bar click the “History” menu
o below the menu bar on the History page is a drop down list showing “S&P 500″
o change the value of this drop down from “S&P 500″ to something else
o a “window.alert” will tell you the new value selected is “undefined” (hmm, what the ????)
o please view the page source and suggest a fix
o I’ll PayPal you a few dollars when this silliness is over
